Technology and Me

I am a 19-year-old girl from a small prairie town where technology wasn’t used in the classroom very often until my secondary years in the high school. I feel like I was always behind on the trends, but when it came down to it I was always knowing what was cool to say or what was the funny thing to quote in everyday life.

I find myself being a person of sharing as I do have an Instagram account, a Facebook account, Snapchat and a Twitter, both personal and professional. I am always posting photos of what is going on in my life, not because I want or need people to care, but so that I can look back and remember everything as well as sharing my experiences and photos with others. I find more now that social media and networking online, especially Twitter is being used by the older generations.

I think blogging is a great way to share ideas with a broader audience. It is a way to write, but also show the knowledge that I have gained. In the article I read, It shares exactly what blogging can do for you and this helps me get excited to blog. Personally, I would rather blog than write an essay. This way, it can be informal and I can share my thoughts exactly how I feel.

I am very excited to continue with this class and be able to share my thought and my learning with everyone in EDTC 300 and on the other end of things, I am excited to read about others learnings and experiences.
